Explorer Skills Camps

The La Salle Explorer Skills Camps offer personal and group instruction in all phases of the game of baseball. Our knowledgeable and energetic staff composed of current/former La Salle coaches and players will provide proper instruction and drills to enhance the skill level of each individual. Campers will be instructed in fundamentals including: hitting, pitching, infield, outfield, catching, baserunning, bunting, cut-offs & relays, rundowns, and sliding. Games will be played each afternoon to emphasize the techniques learned in daily instruction. All campers will have an opportunity to participate in our “slip and slide” sliding practice along with our popular LaSalle Olympic events at the end of the week.

Week 1 - Mon-Thurs - June 24-27 (June 28th Rain Make-up)

Week 2 – Mon-Thurs - July 15-18 (July 19th Rain Make-up)

Time: 9:00am-2:00pm each day

 

Age: Entering 2nd to 9th grade

 

Camp Fee: $260

     -Sibling Discount: $25 off

     -Two Week Discount: $50 off ($470 total)

     -Extended Day Option (3pm pick-up): $50/week

Check-in/Pick-up: Check-in/Pick-up will take place each morning next to the Tennis Courts & Meehan Grass Field.

 

Facilities:  Ward Field (Varsity Field), Lower Bartley Field (JV Field), Flannery Field (Turf), Meehan Turf Field.

 

Daily Schedule:

     8:30-9:00 - Check-in

     9:00-11:30 - Morning Skills Rotation

     11:30-12:00 - Lunch

     12:00-1:00 - Afternoon Skills Rotation

     1:00-2:00 - Games/Competitions

     2:00 - Camp Ends

     2:00-3:00 - Extended Day Campers

 

What to bring: Bagged Lunch (or cash to purchase), Glove, Bat, Cleats, Running shoes (for turf), Hat, Baseball Pants (optional), Water Bottle (we will have water in the dugout to refill), Catching Gear (if applicable), sunscreen.

 

Camp Store: La Salle Baseball Game Hats, T-shirts, and Shorts will be available for sale.  All proceeds go back to the La Salle Baseball program.
